Dirty Pop Mix for C2


Created by weekly Saturday night event Dirty Pop Cardiff, @DirtyPopCardiff, at Clwb Ifor Bach (Welsh Club to the English & Clwb to locals), who've just launched their 'House Partys' to be held monthly. this mix is a fantastic selection of disco, electronic pop and old school house, featuring tunes from Todd Terje, A Guy Called Gerald and some old school disco numbers to beat. It's a cracking mix, ideal regardless of if you want a history lesson in dance music or just want to dance!

Boulevard Mix - Tiger Lighting


This mix was done by one of the resident's of Boulevard Cardiff, Tiger Lightning, showcasing a fantastic selection of French House & Nu-Disco tracks. They may be a relatively new night but are one that's destined for great things, featuring a fantastic guest headline sets from big name underground artists including Panda, XXXY and the mighty Zed Bias. Enjoy this cracking selection of tunes, it's funky, fresh and so now that it could come with it's own Ellen Page Selfie. (If it was sponsored by Samsung)!

Phil Broderick - Drum & Bass 4 Deck

 

A great selection of Drum & Bass tunes taking in everything from liquid vibes to full on double drops that should get a crowd going crazy, this mix takes the very latest tunes and throws them all together. While occasionally rather progressive in feel, your left with no doubt at any point on the energy levels, thanks to some skilled mixing and careful interplay between the melodies and sub bass elements. Expect more great things from Phil soon!

The Chilled Mix


The Chilled Mix is a selection of ambient tunes & deeper house, switching up tempo slightly half way through but maintaining a relaxed atmosphere throughout.

AcidBassTech Mix


This mix, done for my 500th follower on Twitter, Team Up Cardiff is a selection of dance tunes coming from some of the greatest out there, along with some new blood. Infused with acid, techno & drum & bass, it's energetic and rather fun.

These next few are Mixcloud sets, sadly not up for download but fun to listen to nonetheless, so enjoy regardless. The 2014 Chillout Mix 2 is a companion piece to my chilled mix on Soundcloud, beginning with warm soulful house and culminating in some liquid Drum & Bass

Yellow Jug & Bass Mix

 

 

This mix was recorded to bringing some vitality and chillout vibes into a mix dedicated exclusively to what is possibly my favourite genre of electronic music, drum & bass. Occasionally a little messy, when it works it's fantastic fun though, providing a perfect soundtrack to a warm afternoon with a couple of beers. Trust me on that!

This is a companion piece to The Chilled Mix, taking things a little faster with some warm, soulful house, deeper tracks and a few curveballs before taking in some mellow drum & bass to finish things off.

This mix does exactly what it says on the tin, a labyrinthine conoction of over 100 tracks, designed to get you pumped up and excited regardless of the occasion. Taking in a huge range of genres and ending on a crazy note, it's rather good fun, if very long!
